Service Description

This is a one on one consultation to develop a bespoke historical or historically influenced garment. If you decide to commission me to construct the garment as well then the consultation fee will be deducted from the total cost. This meeting will address what time frame you are drawn to, where you anticipate wearing your garments and what might be appropriate--considering weather, your intended impression, the look you're trying to convey, etc. We'll also discuss materials, cost & budget, finishes, timeframe, etc. I'm also happy to impart any garment history that could be pertinent to the era you'll be wearing. A lot goes into historical clothing--it can be incredibly fun but also quite costly. You should be aware of that going into it. If you want to sit down (via Zoom) and get a realistic sense of how much your dream outfit might cost, then this is a great option for you!
